The summer holidays are nearly over…

All these plans I had for faffing about with new projects came to absolutely nothing this summer, turns out lazing about with my tribe was far more enticing, I’ve savoured every little moment…even the horrendous meltdowns, as idyllic as everything looks in the photos I post on my social media pages it’s inevitable that with four little ones in each other’s faces for six whole weeks they are going to get on each other’s nerves, and then mine! But we are a forgiving lot and all is soon forgotten. On the whole it’s been pretty lovely with our holiday, days out plus lots of fun on the farm!

I’ve set myself a task to post a blog daily…or nearly daily anyway, let’s see how I get on! I’m totally inspired by Pioneer Woman who does post every day, what a trooper, we both have four children and farming lives though her passion is cooking whereas mine is art…check her out if you haven’t already, now there’s an idyllic life! Let’s see how I get on with my self imposed challenge.

I’m so chuffed to have my work on display at Unit Twelve gallery in Stafford http://www.unittwelve.co.uk/ and although I had an aborted mission to get to the private view (bloody traffic!) I plan a road trip with my lovely friend very soon. It’s an exhibition of cups and there is truly some stunning work on display, here were mine packaged up…

If you can’t get to visit the exhibition you can buy online off the gallery Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/unittwelve/

I spent some time in my studio today and felt all inspired again, it turns out I need to be surrounded by little treasures to gain focus, the geese came to visit too…

The next few days are going to be all about getting three of the tribe ready for school, going to miss these lazy days so much!

A x
